Questions to ask yourself about your practice work!
1. Did I put the proper heading?
2. Did I write the original problem? (abbreviating word problems is OK)
3. Is my problem solving shown?
4. Did I work all the problems?
5. Did I correct my paper?
6. Did I rework the problems I missed or couldn't do the first time?
7. Is my paper orderly and readable? (Remember the example you were shown in class?)
Grading (will be done during warm up)
5 points are possible for each graded paper:
1pt > 80% or more attempted (24 of 30 is 80%)
1pt > 100% attempted (you also get previous point for 80% or more)
1pt ea > 3 problems randomly selected. Original problem must be written with work shown leading to your answer.
Again: the standard for any points to be given is: Original problem must be written with work shown leading to your answer.
Examples:
1. Peter Pan came to class with all practice problems attempted, work to standard (indicated above). SCORE= 5 pts
2. Tinkerbell came to class with 80% or more of her problems attempted to standard. She had 2 of 3 randomly selected problems attempted to standard. SCORE= 1 pt for partial attempt plus 2 pts for the 2 of 3 problems attempted to standard TOTAL=3 pts
3. Captain Hook came to class with some but less than 80% of the problems attempted. He had answers for all 3 of the randomly selected problems but only did 2 to standard. SCORE= 2 pts
